just wondering what you listen to which isn't satellite, FM or "approved" music.

my radio station recently hooked up with reverb nation to collect songs for airplay on it. we got 3600 submissions and took 100.

here's one of those that i can't quit listening to. there were a LOT of these kinds of bands i'd love to keep finding.

    for now - violet janine.

I don't know what would be considered off the beaten path as I don't necessarily keep up with what is main stream at any given time.

The reason being that I like music from pretty much all types of music and time frames.

I like all kinds of music, but my favorite music site is:
    http://www.di.fm/

But it's mainly a lot of digital music channel streams like trance, eurodance, chill, trap, etc.

If you like classical pianist music, my favorite composer is Ludovico Einaudi ..

Here is off the beaten path. A song by Odesza, called "Waited 4 U". Video footage by Cody Buffinton, from Exploring With Cody. Worth the watch and listen.

I listen to AM talk radio mostly but when I listen to music it is either gospel, classic rock, or classic country.
